Kanaki Sada is a musician specializing in the shakuhachi, a traditional Japanese bamboo flute. Born in Montréal, he began learning the instrument in Japan at the age of nine. A graduate of Tokyo University of the Arts in 2016, he has received several distinctions in traditional Japanese music competitions and performs with Orchestra Asia. His career has also taken him to France, notably to Japan Expo. At Impro-Mime, he accompanies performers on the shakuhachi in an encounter between music and physical improvisation.
