Maria Eugenia Garza Oyervides is a dancer, choreographer and educator from Monterrey, Mexico. After beginning in musical theatre and jazz, she turned to contemporary dance and developed a practice centred on the body, identity and choreographic creation. A performer and choreographer for more than ten years, she has also led creative dance workshops in Mexico, France and Montréal. She holds a master’s degree in dance from UQAM and pursues research that brings together movement, memory and personal experience. She participated in the Impro-Mime gathering Mime et musique.
