Carolane Desmarteaux leads a multidisciplinary life as a stage director and creator working with the body, a professional hypnologist and a student of cognitive neuroscience. Rather than pulling her apart, these passions come together around perception and consciousness. These are the lenses through which she experiences or conceives a work. For the past few years, she has worked with artists from many backgrounds to integrate self-hypnosis tools into professional artistic practice. In art as in support work, language is the subject that most intrigues and inspires her.
