Sandy Bessette

Sandy Bessette is a choreographer, dancer, arts mediator and artistic co-director of La marche du crabe, the creative company she co-founded with Simon Fournier. Her practice explores the intersections of dance, circus and theatre, with a strong focus on movement improvisation. Trained in dance, contact improvisation, physical theatre and acrobatic disciplines, she has spent several years developing creations particularly for early childhood and young audiences. Her projects, including Le Mobile, Remous Remis and Les Explositions, emphasize the body, spontaneity, the relationship with the audience and the interplay of stage languages.
