Impro-Mime: Mime and Dance

On March 30, 2025, Impromime presented Mime and Dance, a gathering devoted to the dialogue between these two movement disciplines. Solos, duets and group improvisations invited performers to explore letting go, lifts, floor work, negative space, unison and the transformation of a movement from one language into another. Some prompts directly juxtaposed the instincts of mime and dance, while an extended improvisation brought dance, mime and performance together in a single collective construction.
