Impro-Mime: Mime and Text
Fullum coin Coupal, MontréalFree admission. A voluntary contribution of $5 is suggested.

This Impro-Mime session, directed by Solo Fugère, explored the encounter between mime and text. Texts prepared by writers from Les Travaux collective served as material for improvisation without requiring a literal illustration of the words. Performers could read, hear, reinterpret or let the texts resonate to build their own physical response. The gathering brought together Carolanne Desmarteaux, Bryan Morneau, Martin Blais, François Blouin and Jennyfer Desbiens. It offered a way to examine how written language, rhythm, imagination and movement can meet on stage, each retaining its own language while influencing the other.
